Hello fishes,
I have offers from Tiger Analytics and o9 Solutions . Both companies offering similar pay.
I have 2.5 years of experience in Data Science more specifically time series analysis. I know o9 has main domain in time series forecasting for supply chain analytics. But my work will depend on the client I will assigned to.
Which is the better company in regards to machine learning and data science exposure.

You cannot take leaves and chill , you have to do your due diligence , ofcourse you don't have to work like before (how you used to) still atleast need to give your 50 percent
As long as ur sick submit proof and take leaves that's what my HR said😉

You have to work as you taking regular salary. Any leave usually will extend last working day unless you have a good manager. Even they won't let you take more than a day or two.

Is it ok if they don't pay you while you "chill"?
No it will not work, only 1 or 2 sick leaves are fine but don't take risk all depends on manager and HR.
If we are sick then it can be taken... Tell me who has not taken single leave for personal reason and applied as sick leave.
Even while working also 9 hrs are committed to work but when we are asked to work more we did our best always. So nothing is so perfect.

You have to decide what your personal brand means to you. Are you the guy that screws his team mates as soon as he finds a better option? Or are you a standup guy that is always dependable?
You will cross paths with some of the people again in the future. That is inevitable in this industry. In fact, every job offer I ever got in my long career, (except for my very first), was because someone I knew/worked with recommended me.
On the flip side, it is important for you to take a mental break and reset before your next job, so you don’t take any of your emotional baggage from your previous company into your new role. It is also important for you to brush up on skills that you are rusty on, which will be needed for you to be successful in your new role.
It is up to you to find the balance between how to want your team mates to remember you, and preparing for success in your new role.
Good luck!
