Anyone with recent experience recruiting for Boston Consulting Group? Got in touch with a recruiter through referral, was directed to submit an application and already finished my pymetrics. Anyone know when I would be able to hear back and what the hiring timeline looks like? Recruiter suggested to get back in a few weeks but isn’t it too slow? McKinsey sent me an invite for 1st interview in a few days after they received my referral.

Consultants come to you with vague requests on tight deadlines and demand answers lol. Wouldn't want that job myself
What’s the exact role? Also the trick is to ask your recruiter if you will be CSP or FSP, client or firm facing
Pretty sure it’s a firm facing. The recruiters and hiring manager confuse me. HM said McKinsey is a products based company so I thought they meant McKC and in next round with Director he mentioned McKC is not a back office for McKinsey and Company. Today had a call with recruiter she mentioned it’s not McKC but McKinsey. Also I gave interviews for Senior S/W Enggr but they’re offering Cloud Engineer now with cap “x” on salary while I have offer from Qualcomm for “x+5” LPA
There are many roles at the knowledge centers: some are building and delivering assets/solutions to clients, others are developing IP, and others are the more back-office roles that folks are referring to.
Many folks in my favourite practice area started as knowledge and research folks and moved to expert consulting. The same can't be said for most people in the help desk type roles.
The role is for creating blue prints for commonly used Cloud applications and maintaining McKinsey’s public infrastructure in a newly formed Cloud Native team
It feels like a back office it’s not but then again everything in McKinsey other than the integrative track feels like a BO
