I’m joining them. Seems like it is project dependent, but expectation is at least 2 weeks a month while staffed.
This is very helpful, thank you!
Old data, so take with grain of salt.
I worked there pretty much the full years of 2019 and 2020 (COVID) as a senior consultant. I only spent a combined 5 or 6 weeks on client sites. I actually traveled to other BCG offices and events 3-4x more than client travel.
Travel seemed VERY project dependent.
What is bcg platinions main market? Are they really able to compete in this space?
Imo fair questions. Again, it's been a long time since I was there, but we did struggle to sell work. You're competing with Accenture, IBM, Big4 for net-new work and MBB prices are materially higher. A portion of the team was always staffed on classic BCG projects because there wasn't enough Platinion-specific work.
Most of the clients I worked on were existing MBB clients who gave us work noncompetitively.
It may have evolved since then, not sure how it is these days.
Monday to Thursday every damn week
Oh my, I can see why they are reposting these roles. For some folks, I can imagine that much travel these days is way too much.
My recruiter mentioned 3 days a week, every other week is generally the norm across projects.
Extremely project dependent, but overall a hybrid model. There are more important culture and engagement model questions to be asking IMO.
