Hoping someone can share some insights on the real travel expectations for BCG Platinion. I’m currently employed at a Big 4 with an offer to pivot to BCG Platinion in a lateral move. I’ve heard various descriptions during the interview process about colocation and travel, can anyone share their honest experience? One person said there isn’t much travel on his account, another made it sound like it’s an on the road always situation. Is it really a 4 day/wk travel expectation at BCG Platinion?

For Indian citizen who wish to travel with their spouses or kids who are US citizens, do not have OCI’s and wishing to stay more than 30 days in India. I dropped by Indian consultant in DC and received 1 year multiple entry visa (x-visa) for my kids. I didn’t have to provide any reason for emergency other than saying we wished to stay longer than 30 days to spend time with family. No questions asked, provided the money order and applications and recieved the visa in 30 min CONTD...

A unit in TCS is trying to retain me saying if they revise the ctc (from their unit bugedt) and provide an Indonesian onsite opportunity, will you revoke your papers. Is it worth taking this chance? The team is very small of just 10 people and I am not sure how much will they provide for onsite. Pls advice as not a single question was asked in the interview apart from expectations.

Rejected by HBS and GSB post interview... feeling pretty low. Was hoping I'd get one after interviewing. Not sure what I could have done differently. 750 GMAT, >3.8 GPA from top 10 UG, multiple promotions, strong recs, well-known employer. The process feels so random... I know there are so many qualified candidates and so few spots but I wish they had seen it in me.

I have an offer accepted from Elevance 125k (Anthem) and w a good team and seems that WLB would be ok. Also, Amazon hiring manager wants to interview me for a job. Is just a hiring manager int. so obvi nothing guaranteed. Salary if offered will be more than 150k. My question is should I accept the interview and see where it goes? Standing in a long line at CVS... how / why do so many people still use cash!?

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
