For hand lotion - l’Occitane citrus verbena gel. Pricey but absorbs immediately and smells amazing
I added a cleansing oil when I shower that has helped - and I use this after I shower: I use it on where it's usually the driest (e.g. elbows, legs) and do a quick rinse. Does not get oily at all, helps the skin and doesn't have the same icky feeling.
This is what I use: Bioderma - Atoderm - Cleansing Oil For Very Dry Sensitive Skin - Face and Body - Soothes Discomfort
I use L'occitane oil in the shower and it has helped immensely. It really does make my skin feel much softer and eliminates the need for any lotion. I am not a lotion person either.
Pure vegetable based Glycerin is really good to use. It helps with dry skin without feeling slimy. I hate the feeling of lotion, but have very dry skin in the winter. An uncle gave me some Glycerin years ago, and I still use it in the winter to help with my dry skin. Walmart has it and it's not very expensive. Good luck with your dry skin, give Glycerin a try.
Do you have a brand recommendation??
Neutrogena hand cream. Unscented. Best thing out there for helping dry skin but there is an after feeling, different than most other lotions I’ve tried. O’keefs works well too but less lotion like, sorta dry, might be what you’re looking for. Could also try a tallow based lotion which should disappear more than traditional lotions.
I use a dry oil. It's like a regular oil but absorbs quickly and doesn't have that yucky oily feeling. I also hate that feeling!
