Comp and benefits on par by role but longer time in role vs integrative (generalist)
McKinsey also has multiple roles called "Expert". There are Knowledge Experts, an entire track called Expert Consulting and Capabilities & Insights Expert, which vary significantly based on comp and career trajectory
Can you help me, how are below 3 different in Mckinsey
Knowledge expert
Practice expert
Capability and insight expert
??
All above 3 falls under Mckinsey knowledge center?
How difficult is it to switch from expert track to generalist?
It is not accurate to call it very difficult. If you have a good thing going with a couple of integrative AP's/Partners/SP's it's not tough. I've seen a decent number of people move from C&I/Knowledge/Expert to integrative
Speaking for SEA. Comp is same - benefit is broadly similar. Trajectories might differ a bit (allowed longer path and lenient up/out)
Can confirm DAS leads to MDP - also most DAS MDPs work on some cases outside of digital (e.g. I have worked with a DAS MDP on a DD), but they do have a main focus on digital cases.
Other major major difference at BCG is there is no ability to be elected MD&P as expert. You top out as Director.
Bcg3, no
Is the product track (ex. Director of Product) considered specialist?
It reads as AP - director of product. I hadn’t heard of it either
