How bad is it to switch from a product based company to a service based company?

I’m looking for jobs in industry, but can’t seem to find any that involve skills in SQL or Python. Do industry accountants only use excel? Is there a push for a more technology oriented skill set?

Need some advice, Is it a good time to switch to another company provided i stayed just 6 months in current org and I may move to US next year in August or later. There is no mental peace here at current workplace and also have no learning , became monotonous.

Public finance exit opps?

I’ve built a reputation I’m proud of @ my company. I’m underpaid for what I do (started as an intern) & recently asked for a market adjustment. Management acknowledged that I’m undervalued & plans to set me up for a promotion. It’d come with more responsibility, which doesn’t align with my goals.

Is it wise for me to remain open to a promotion just for increased pay? Or should I be transparent with management about my goals (& possibly not get the pay I’m asking for)? Or any other tips?

But one peculiar thing is happening. I have appeared for 4 Cognizant interviews but in all I have been rejected. Whereas most of my friends had easily cleared Cognizant. I am switching tech, so I am a bit concerned like whether my knowledge is too shallow😐
