Yep just emailed the practice group chair and the head of HR. Also spoke with the partner I was closest to before those emails.
I called my office’s managing shareholder and told him I was calling to give notice and my last day would be x.
I have always done so in person
I did it in person to the partner I worked closest with and then in person to the office HR. Then by email to the partners on my other teams. Then in conversation to the associates I worked with or had a personal relationship with.
