How many round does EY have ?
Hello Everyone,
Last Monday i.e on 10th Oct, I received a mail from Infosys to submit documents such as Infy Application form, Latest offer/Revision Letter and ID Proof. Its been a week and I have not received any response from them. Can anyone please let me know how much time will they take to get back. 2nd Tech round was cleared on 3rd Oct.
PwC 🐠, I interviewed with the firm about 6 months ago for a Senior Associate position on the forensics team. I wasn’t extended an offer because the position was given to an internal transfer, at least what I was told. I tried reaching out to the recruiter I worked with last time but the email bounced back and wouldn’t be delivered. I was hoping to see / reapply if the group still was looking for seniors.
In your opinion, would it be best to reapply as a cold application?

My very first job wasn't a connection, obviously. I was fresh out of college. This was long before online portfolios. I created a mini book, color copied it 100 times, and wrote 100 letters by hand to 100 agencies. I got 25 replies. 7 interviews. 2 job offers. You have to really hustle at the start.
every job i’ve taken is from a connection.
internship was reco from a professor. every agency job from there on was someone who i previously worked with, went to another agency, then a few months later, either reached out to me or i reached out to them and found out they liked it, then i got a job there, through them.
half of my team is the same way (a dozen out of 20 or so), brought in because someone else on the team knew them.
networking is just whomever you know. it’s as important as your book.
NOTE: i’ve had quite a few interviews/offers from places i had no connection at. every time, i took the connection gig. something about the familiarity i think. you can vet it better.
First job – reached out for an informational interview. Pitched an idea. Got a job. All jobs after, they found me through the Internet because they liked something I made.
When people say connections, are you including connections you’ve cultivated with agency recruiters over time? Or literally just a fellow person in your department recommending you?

Connection
Online, cold application
Tried to emailed the high ups in all the agencies I could find. Eventually got traction and got an office manager job that I eventually turned into a very junior account role

Recruiters and connections for 6 agencies
Last one to show up at the job fair, 10 minutes before it ended. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ guess they liked me!

Recruiter
Recruiter reached out
First job -> connection. Second job -> in-house recruiter reached out. Current job -> connection I made at second job.
I also have kept in touch with every recruiter or CD I’ve ever interviewed with even if they or I ended up passing. Now when they have new opportunities they reach out!
Job 1 - I got after applying to over 100 companies. Just Googled "entry level marketing job" and applied to any company whose website looked decent. I had no clue wat an agency was, wat client side was, how holding groups work.. I just applied to anything marketing related. Landed at a holding group - their multicultural agency.
Job 2 - Headhunter from another holding group LinkedIn msg me. Offered a new opportunity, more tech-driven, better pay, etc. Switched ships.
Job 3 - Wanted to get out of agency / holding group world. Applied like crazy to martech firms. Apparently they like pp with agency experience, so landed one relatively quick.
Personal Connection
My first job as production assistant crew side was through hapoenstance. This was 1993. I sent out 150 resumes in the mail and followed up each one with a phone call. I regularly followed up with about 20 leads for a year. Finally, after a production manager and I were volunteering on a friend’s low budget production, he gave me shot having seen me work.
Agency side it’s always been a connection.
I got my first job at my agency via a career fair at my university, and then worked my way up from there via internal promotions and transfers
In-house recruiter found me on LinkedIn
Internship that turned into being hired. Was in portfolio school at the time.
