How difficult or is it possible to go from audit assurance to management consulting?

Thinking of quitting without anything lined up. Posting it here only bc I’m on a visa. Not gonna glorify it since I’m quitting only bc I don’t like the nature of my job or the environment. Have no grand big things planned ahead. I’m fine with leaving the country. Has anyone been through this and have any advise?

Is Operations paid the least at your respective firms? I was hired to a Client Service Delivery role with a heavy focus on project management. M/SM and above, why do you label a meeting as “touch point” or ask if you can have a “quick chat” when it’s something serious? Millennials like us always assume we’re about to get fired - I actually have been laid off in a meeting with that title. So apparently accenture is making people who are on the bench enroll into a mandatory customer service role even if you’re 100% utilized. Friend took 3 weeks of PTO and has been on the bench for a few days and he is being forced. Worst part? It’s Tues-Saturday.

Utilization director told me today that the layoffs won't affect me. My heart goes out to everyone that had to hear otherwise. Here's to hoping y'all find something better and prosper.
