If you were expecting to be booked but the work didn't come in, you'll have communicate your availability so you can get assigned something else.
If you communicated your availability often and still did not get anything then you're fine. If you sat quietly idle then there's no way around the low rating.
No now I have an email being sent out every Friday and Monday to all managers and seniors. But that was brought up by a manger who had stepped in said this is what you need to do so this doesn’t happen again.
Is there any reason why you are not getting work? Once we had one associate, and no one wanted to work with her. So they let her go. I would talk to my peers if there is any sign. Hope this is not the case for you though.
I mean there is always the possibility of it. As of now I am swamped with work maybe like 50-55 hrs of chargeable. So unless it changed within 1-2 months I wouldn’t know. I do reach out to managers to see what they think and they are pretty blunt with me but that also was the reason I brought this up. A manager told me that I should speak up about this. I was just going to let it slide and take the hit for the first year.
What is your utilization %?
Thanks I appreciate the input!
My partner put it to me this way: there's always work to be done, if you're not receiving any work because your in-charges don't know your availability - fix it by letting them know you're free. If they know you're free and you're STILL not getting work to be chargeable? That's cause they don't wanna work with you and best be prepared to get fired.
