Try nails when they’re asleep (unless they’re very light sleepers)
Wait until they are 2. This period will appear better.
Give them a book or toy during changes. I've even gone as far as laying my legs on top of their legs so they can't get away. The rest don't try doing in one sitting. Change your expectations to follow them around and get one finger here or there or clip a few hairs at a time.
+1 to this. I try to distract him during changes with a toy, a bag of wipes, etc. On nail trims, it's the only time we allow him to watch a video on our phones, so that usually keeps him entranced for a minute or two
While sleeping
We had same issues. For nails and hair, try doing in high chair during or after meals - would work sometimes. Good luck with diapers. We started doing standing changes.
I have my wife cut hair and nails, changing diapers is a breeze.
I now do it right before bed when the kiddo is exhausted and can't fight back, lol.
Ha! Only time my kids saw a screen until they were 2 was short nature YouTube videos for haircuts and nails.
Have them stand up when you change diapers
Poopy diapers?
Thanks for asking - useful learning for me as dad of a 2 month old.
It is okay right now but I can imagine how difficult it will be in future 😊😊
We cut nails when the fell asleep. But the hair we just let grow. Diapers were about distracting them with something like a toy.
