How do you announce you are leaving when the firm is all remote? Schedule a zoom meeting? Call people? Also, is there a best way to convey to your firm that you’re going somewhere else? Are there specific things that quitting associates should do? This is my first time leaving a law firm, so any tips (especially in Covid-time) appreciated!

Hi guys, i need help! My neighbor got a dog during covid, and she doesn’t walk her but instead has the dog release on the fresh patches on her balcony. That won’t be any problem except we kinda share the balcony. And ever since she got the dog, the smell is non stop. Problem is, he also gave me two assignments last night that he wants finished by the end of the day and I have a brief that needs to be filed today for another partner. Is it reasonable to be expected to spend 20-30 non-billable hours a month checking your paralegal’s work? (i.e. summarizing hundreds of records and bills). The partner said he “didn’t use paralegals” at his previous firm and eating the time is an “investment in yourself.” Is this common?
