Sometimes personality just doesn’t fit what’s required of the job. That leads to further anxiety and development of depression, where the only reasonable solution is to leave a job that better suits your working style/personality
Where available, alcohol. Otherwise i came to learn that it’s all about perspective. It’s still difficult for me at this point, but when i remember i try to convince myself that I’m no less than anyone who makes me anxious. That I’m a badass and yall better think i am one!
You’d be surprised at how many very successful consultants suffer from social anxiety. Find what works for you. Maybe start the day at the gym or yoga. If some activities are too much, take a break or trade with a college. You can make it work, just know your limits and accentuate the positive
