Hello everyone! I recently pivoted from working in advertising to working at an early-stage fintech startup. I'm looking to speak with business finance leaders who manage corporate cash and credit lines for their companies to learn more about your tools and your approach to cash management. I'll buy you lunch/coffee for your time.
If interested shoot me an email me at kathryn@crescent.app! And thank you!!
I’m interviewing for final round of the entry level area manager position at Amazon. I’m working on multiple stories related to the leadership principles. Can anyone provide me some tips regarding the role?
There are 16 leadership principle and I’m thinking of creating some stories around each but the thing that concerns me is what if the questions they ask are related to the same principle and I might have already used up my stories. Something like that. Can anyone please help? Amazon

Contact your previous manager
They're literally dead. Should I lie and use a past coworker instead?
The only way you can handle that scenario is with the truth. List your past employers and your dates of service with them and add a sentence or parenthetical (now defunct). If the hiring manager needs further proof that you actually worked there, I don't know what you could tell them. I doubt you have all of your old paycheck stubs.
I don't have old paycheck stubs and my direct report for them are no longer living. Two were older and one died of cancer.
contact for what? References, background checks?
Yes, for possible employers to contact.
If the company is closed or sold it shouldn't be a big deal. If you have some references that should be sufficient. A good example is someone who worked for a few start-up companies.
In these situations, you can reach out to your previous managers on Linked and ask for their email. From there, you can ask them if they are willing to give a referral and how they would prefer for your potential employer to each out to them.
I'm in this situation as well. Most of my work experience is contract work. The only full-time roles I had were at companies that no longer exist and I feel like recruiters do not believe me when I say this.
