My last job made me feel this way. I had to take a step back and look at what was truly the root cause of the stress and unhappiness. I loved the actual patients and the job, but there was so much on my plate. It helped to talk to my supervisor, but go into that conversation with comments and reasons, not just a feeling. Turned out that people were expecting me to do things that were not my job without me knowing it. Good luck, and I hope you get some relief.
I can relate but for me itl was a combination
Of a lot of things I never expected to have to deal with
One was I was expected to do things that had nothing
To do with my job title and of whichi enjoyed doing for
Family this was to translate English to Spanish
And the union rep was no help the other was my getting
Unwanted advances from my male colleagues and
I would tell my spouse I'm not even trying to flirt I don't wear excessive makeup nor do I take my lab coat off
Like my other female coworkers did to show their shape
But I felt the need to leave after 6 years I did and was
Happy going back to home care..

I’m sorry that is truly so difficult! While I don’t have the right answer for you, I do hope you find a way to navigate this challenge… perhaps a personal leave ?
I cut a lot of hours so I only work 1-2 days a week while I actively search for something. It’s honestly the severe understaffing that makes it super overwhelming when we are busy. Just super burnt out and have no life at all outside of work AND it’s still not good enough for this company. Everyone in my life is sick of me complaining honestly. Never going to be able to settle down feeling this way so just gonna put 200% during the time that I’m clocked in and be 100% clocked out and focusing on putting myself back together when I’m not there—-working out, eating right, and job hunting! I put on like 20lbs in a year and have high cholesterol now. Grateful that I have the luxury to take a step back and not need the money right now.
