I have to project manage the whole thing and tell my husband what he needs to do. He is pretty open to helping out however I ask him to, but I have to plan it all out and decide what/when/where and remind him. It is annoying but I have been unsuccessful in getting him to take responsibility for stuff over the course of many years, so it’s either I plan everything or it just doesn’t get done. At least he usually does what I ask him to do, however.
This is exactly my situation. If I don't do the planning, nothing happens. Ever. I give him tasks and he does his best to do them.
It's tough. I just registered my husband as a girl scout volunteer so he can share more of those commitments. We have two girls and between GS, ballet, school and aftercare commitments it can get super overwhelming.
Following. I asked my husband to attend one camp orientation out of the millions of events going on, and he was like “do we really need to go to this?” Ugh
