Have you tried exercises before and/or after work? I get up a bit earlier and go for a morning run then go to the gym after work. Even sparing your lunch break to take a walk around your building can make a difference. So block off time in your day for such breaks and don't budge from it. If you WFH, then a standing desk plus a walking pad are necessary.
While at work it's good to get up our of your chair and move around a little bit. You don't want to develop circulatory problems from sitting too long. But so far as real exercise goes, you'll need to do that before or after work. Forcing yourself to take a walk most days can work wonders and make you feel a lot better. Move around, it's good for you!
There's a group of people who walk during lunch in my workplace. They actually eat lunch at their desks after the lunch break, but walk and talk during the break. I find it easier to work in the mornings before work. If it's light outside, I like to take my dog for a walk. If not, I'll walk on the treadmill and plan out my day.
Mine used to be really bad as well but I started making more of an effort to get up and walk around the office. I started setting alarms for every two hours and making myself get up and walk around so I can get in as many steps as I can every day.
I walk to and from the train station. Its about 2 miles per day.
