Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

Anyone who’s dealt with a PM at a Big 4 knows they’re useless (sweeping generalisation of course) - and many have. Better off behind industry’s opaque screen

It’s not about prestige, it’s about what it says about you and how employable it makes you.
After getting a promotion in consulting I did a year in industry to differentiate from the typical consulting bschool applicant. It worked.

I went to INSEAD, did not have an issue getting rec letters (you’ll notice how far your consulting skill set goes in a non-consulting organization). I would very much recommend checking out industry while you have the chance, treat it like an internship and enjoy the 9-5.
The industry gig allowed me to say I had seen similar problems from the inside and outside perspective. It made it easier to sell myself as a “specialist” in the industry I covered.
