How hard are DISD schools to get in? - specifically the STEM and the school for talented and gifted?
I’m wondering if I need to live to Dallas in order to have better chances - currently live in Keller ISD and have a 3 month old. I was not very impressed with Keller school stats so wondering if Dallas ISD magnet schools would be fair game or not. Also any prep schools I could have my kid attend to make him competitive at these magnets?

Solid background and thinking of a dual MBA/MS degree at H/S. Class of ‘19 — worth applying R2 or wait a year? Didn’t get in the H/S deferral program in 2019 and heard this year is quite competitive.

Would ideally target pre-MBA Associate level (one step short of post MBA level).

How common are leaves of absence in PA? I’ve never seen someone out of work longer than a couple weeks other than for parent leave, but people on fishbowl talk about it as something you can reasonably ask for.

What questions should you ask during a phone screening with a recruiter?

First day of 30mg vyvanse today. Had a rush of energy and hyperfocus (too much so) about 2-4 hours in, but had a complete crash 5hrs after taking the pill (just a wave of fatigue, felt very good after a quick 15min nap actually) and not sure if it had any effect after. Is this normal? Should I stick it out for a few days or is this a big sign that I’m not on the right meds/dose? Nervous to keep trialling this during the workday since a midday crash is not ideal. Appreciate any advice!

Texas drivers…honest question. Why, why in tf do people just camp in the left lane? I’m talking doing maybe 5 mph over the limit in the left lane when people want to go faster and they can get over?? I can’t always see around and sometimes on hills I can see that one jackass is holding up a line of cars. What gives???
