Hi All, My Junior has decided to put paper, as she wanted to pursue Cdac course from Sept-22. She just informed that she signed a bond of 2 years and currently she has completed 1.7 years in HCL. What should she do now? Results is on 10-aug and she decided to put paper on that day itself (Earlier she told the same to Sr. manager) Kindly suggest if any action would be taken by HCL OR No experience letter would be shared with her. In a tough market, clients will either pay the big bucks for their top priorities or will go with “cheap” resources for any other ask.
McK / BCG and Big 4 will continue to do well while T2 with an ambiguous value proposition will struggle the most.
I would say T2 with ex-B4 partners trying to sell implementation and operating models are the ones struggling the most 😂

McKinsey has a much more diversified client base and more private sector work. Also on the people side there is a higher tolerance for people on the beach rather knee jerk redundancy

We are affected like everyone else but we handle it differently . Will not disclose but some practices are 20/30 percent down.
Few things happened some v low profile
Delayed / pushed hiring
Massive investment. Friends see staffing but dont know economics are much lower than b4
No more imports from outside
Very masked lay offs. Much more stronger enforcement of up or out vs grow or out. The % of lowly ranked / CO / conerncs last review was double digits and super high. These were asked or will be asked out over the year.

If other first had utilization like ours they would be slashing headcount like crazy. We will do it through cycle and over a longer period of time. People policy is much more stable and people are generally treated much better. This is the difference, nobody will debate that work has slowed across the region. We are also less dependent on public sector than any of the others, including BCG who already did a pseudo layoff

Who said we are not affected? Business is definitely slower versus this time last year and more people got yellow ratings this cycle versus usual
