How important has networking been in your career in finance? I find it intimidating at times. Any networking tips or success stories to share?

Anyone have any friends who successfully pivoted out of advertising? I know a handful of people who are half-trying to, but I can’t think of anyone who has made a clean break, on their own terms, into something that appears to be making them feel more fulfilled than they were in the ad biz. So they continue freelancing in order to make a living, while not gaining much traction elsewhere.

I am a software developer wanting to pivot career into logistics and supply chain (biz side not tech). Looking for mentorship. Which school is good for doing MBA which will help me pivot into supply chain?

I was at Big 4 consulting for a year before lateraling to ACN recently. It’s been about 6 months at ACN. Now I have an industry offer for Product Manager, which has been my eventual goal. Would it be too soon to jump? Or should I stick around for better exits in a couple of years may be? I’m worried the frequent changes won’t look good on my resume

New/pivoting into HR! 👋 Currently working as a TA Coord with a little entry level work in HR Ops prior to this. Is there a SHRM link, reliable test, or method of shadowing the various parts of HR that will provide a sample of the work, thinking, and day to day experience of each group? I didn’t go to school for HR and therefore haven’t had the opportunity to sample HR Ops. vs. TA vs. Comp vs. Benefits vs. Payroll, etc. I know work experience is the best barometer, but what can supplement this?
