How is MoFo for M&A? Is it up there with the SV tech firms (WSGR, Cooley etc) in terms of quality of clients? Culture?

I have offer from KPMG India and PWC AC Banglore. Package is almost the same. PWC AC has Canada shift with permanent wfh and KPMG India has hybrid work model in pune location. Please suggest which one is better in terms of growth , wlb , culture etc

I’ve long disliked the term ethics. Definitions of ethics all refer to morals. Morals are very personal and vary a lot from person to person, culture to culture. Law is how we as a society express our preferences and impose rules and restrictions on ourselves. So the question should never be about whether companies can be ethical. What does that mean? One person thinks eating meat is unethical, another thinks it’s perfectly ethical. Companies should focus on complying with the law.

How is the culture and hours in TMT at strategy&? Would love to connect with someone to know more.
Also, are TMT projects across the country or more focused in a certain region?

Have competing offers from EY and KPMG UK Economic advisory teams( Manager/Snr Exec level). KPMG's UK technical rep and comp offer is better, but the hours appear longer. EY UK Director has had several calls selling culture (diversity and work life balance). Is there actually a substantive emphasis on this by EY? Or are 50+ hour weeks quite common?

I suspect it's going to be quite team dependent/ project dependent, and therefore a gamble in any case.

Current firm really wants me to stay, counters that it will try to get me salary as close to big law offer and give me complex work. Stay at ID firm or accept big law offer?

Hypo: client says they agreed to use a prior agreement another firm drafted as precedent for a new deal prior to engaging you. It’s maybe the most poorly written contact you’ve ever seen. Most material terms are arguably there, but it’s convoluted and you’d be embarrassed to put your name on it. There’s clearly a better way to draft it. To what extent do you re-write certain sections?

Does anyone have experience or thoughts about life after big law (whatever that means)? I'm a third year tax associate and seriously worrying whether I've chosen a practice area that is too "niche" to find something after. Do I even want to practice law? Do I just need a vacation??
