Hello fellow Fishes I have an offer from persistent. Need some clarity on same. I want to know the grade system in persistent. What does 7.1 mean? Is 7.1 a right fit for an total experience of 10+ years? What is the appropriate CTC for an architect designation? I want to know if I am getting it as per experience.

I think they mean a Research Assistant to a Clinical Research Coordinator for Clinical Trials. You can basically move within a year or two. It depends on your prior experience. I don’t know where you work, but the likelihood that you will get a promotion in your company unless there is an opening and you apply for it; is unlikely.
I mean at my company my position I am a RA, but I have had my own trials. I also have prior experience. I only went to this position because I needed to experience working with consenting patients. I could be a CRC, but I want to go in a bit of a different direction within research.
We promote our RAs to CRC once they can fairly independently run day to day trial activities, which depends on the person and how quickly they learn, but usually within 6-9 months.
I typically will “promote” someone after a year if they can show me that they can work independently on reading the protocol and putting it into action from start-up to close out, quality source creation and all.
And you are.
