How long after giving a referral is typical for someone to reach out to that person? I recently put a candidate forward for a role after someone on the talent team asked if I had any suggestions. They're in a tight spot for a job right now so I would hate to lose the thread, but I don't think they've heard yet and I don't know if it's appropriate to check in.

Does anyone regret joining a boutique consulting firm? I signed with a startup out of college (spring 2020) whose founding partners were all partners/Sr leaders at a few T2s. Our firm is super small (dozen FTEs) but does really good work (we charge premium rates and work super cool projects).
