How long did it take for you to get the right work product? For example, I'm a 2nd year patent agent and even when doing replies to NTFMP to trigger RRQ, i won't pick the right claims. I'll pick the independent claims, but I'll pick the wrong independent claim to build the claim set around. A partner usually spends 20-45 minutes reviewing my OA replies, and I usually have one round of accepting their edits, then sending back for their final review before sending it to the client. normall?

I don’t think this is abnormal. Claim drafting is the hardest part and often takes several years to learn. Picking claims is obviously less difficult but requires an understanding of the business and intent when drafting different independent claims. This isn’t a skill most people have right away.

Advice needed on handing in notice, I recently signed an offer letter and understand the screening process takes 4-6 weeks. I have a month's notice period and have agreed a preliminary start date in Feb.

I was planning on not handing my notice in until the checks had been completed so its all secured (not that I think I will fail any checks), but apparently I need a reference from my current employer not previous ones. Can't really do this without handing in notice can I?
