I don’t know how many times I’ve seen those emails but this one hurt more than the others. I sat in my car and just cried. Hiding from my family, so they wouldn’t feel bad with me. I come from a target school in India (say MBB / T2 hires from my college every year) with ~1 YOE in consulting - based in Dubai. IMHO, our stint in consulting’s purpose is to develop a corporate strategy skillset. Doing CDDs is one of if not the best way to get a ton of reps and variety in our 18 - 24 month tenure.

With options among MBB, T2 incl S&, EYP, and general Big 4 / ACN MC:

- Take MBB (can ask for CDD, overall better comp package)
- Reject B4 MC (won’t get it here)
- T2 (pick other T2s if you want way more strategy projects that aren’t CDD / growth strategy)

Looking for recommendations on a good book/resource on how to manage people, especially when you’re managing teams to achieve tight deadlines and also overall leadership for those teams. Currently on a project with tight regulatory deadlines and feel like I’m struggling to push people without pissing them off. Great learning curve for me and a good read seems timely. TIA!
