How many years of work experience do you have? Do you feel that number is representative of your experience as a whole?

11 YOE. And no, considering OT, continuing education, and random research on my own time I’d say I’m around 16 YOE.

I have 8 years of engineering experience. I've worked for several different types of companies with different objectives, so I like to consider myself more well-rounded. MY department often takes previous work history into account when placing people in positions because a lot of different factors contribute to our knowledge. That being said, as a whole, my industry only considers industry experience as "countable" (according to several hiring managers).

I'm at 17 YOE and yes I do feel it is representative.

I have about 2.5 YOE, but I think the roles I’ve stepped into during that time say more than the length of experience.

Anyone know a way to get a cheap flight this coming festive period?

Who else started with small businesses and moved up to medium and large at agencies structured to handle it? I handle 40 clients and some 60 Content managers, ad managers, designers, developers, and a smattering of other positions.

Which was better? I have almost complete autonomy over what happens with small biz, but getting to focus on projects for more than an hour/month sounds nice.

So I'm in a weird space at the moment. I've been interviewing with a lot of agencies in the past couple of months, and I keep getting the same response of "I need more agency experience." How am I supposed to get that experience if one of the things holding me back is not having enough agency experience?

Hi All! Looking for some advice. I am a manager a country club but I do everything. I’m in charge of outside events and member events, in charge of the front of house staff, scheduling, ordering and membership sales for the club. I feel I am very underpaid at $45k. I do get commission but it’s very low ($10k give or take for the year). I work 6/7 days a week sometimes 10+ hrs/day. I’ve been researching salaries to be able to negotiate higher pay. I want to ask for $60k-is this reasonable?
