I have received offer from Wipro which is little above than the offer that I am holding but fixed pay is less. Thinking of rejecting Wipro offer. Is it better to reject or accept and then not join. Also if I reject, will there be any issue like they won't consider me in future?Tata Consultancy Wipro Cognizant Infosys

For my ex-colleagues at Strategy&, does this new SM level replace the former first year director (i.e., indeed a promotion), or is it a tenure-based level that’s for folks who have been managers for a long time but not good enough to be directors (i.e., not really a promotion)?
Same question
I assume you meant Directors. Depending on tenure and expertise, expect $225-$400k in base plus 30-60% in bonus. All in is about $300k at the very low/junior end with senior directors making close to $700k.
Coach
4 years would be top tier performer with strong leadership support. Average is closer to 5-6 (~2-3 years at senior associate, 2-3 years at manager/senior manager —> director)
They made a new senior manager role between managers and directors, which is why I’m having trouble getting data
I’m at $240k total Comp now for reference
We have a cohort model so your base pay is the same, COL notwithstanding. You’ll need to negotiate on cohort levels (eg SM1, SM2). As long as you’re performing at level you’ll beat your total comp.
Coach
OP it will be a bump in TC (as a top performer would be ~ 300+ all in). Average performance would still beat your current TC.
