I worked as external payroll for 1 year then I became permanent employee of organization was working. When i was a fresher my salary was below tax slab so my external exployer did not generate any form 16 for me. When tried to switch my new organization wants me to submit form 16 as BGC process. My wife started as an M at Accenture earlier this year coming from industry. I’ve never worked at Accenture or any b4, but I had to explain to her how up or out works. She also didn’t know that she came in with 24 months at level and what that meant. Really surprised none of this was communicated during hiring or by her manager.

Yooo. First year analysts in acn get 83 out of undergrad in NYC o_O
Deloitte advisory problems. Blame the Deloitte consulting people.
Whoa you're severely underpaid (for NY) my friend! How many years out from undergrad are you? MBA or non? If I understand the SC level correctly, the equivalent (3 yrs out of undergrad) at pwc in NYC should be around 105+
Yup, I am aware. That's why I want to get an idea to see if i stick to the firm, what can I bargain for
Ouch
I understand. 3 years out of undergrad. Can't leave the firm because of the visa process - hoping folks from advisory can help give me an idea so I can weigh my options
Plenty of first year Advisory SA's in NYC at K making $85k (2-3 years out of undergrad). Depending on service line, doesn't sound too far off. That said, the progression can be much quicker. I've seen campus hires make director in 6.
Whst market offering OP?
Risk and Resilience, analytics
That's probably about right OP. Probably looking at 5-10 in bonus too
Thanks D1. Any idea about how much a second year SC gets paid? How big (small) the raise is
I'm not the best source for raises. Moved from low paid MO to a higher paying one as first year SC. Been playing catch-up ever since
Ey what do we pay our senior consultants in their first year?
You want to hear severely underpaid? 2nd year SC in LA only making $78k :) the firm screwed me over the first year with a 4% raise saying it was justified because we started in September. And apart from the first year I was rated 2 and near the very top right of our scatter plot since we moved to those.
