At what age did you sell your first project?
How are partners taxed?
Haha. Short answer is that it depends. Partner comp does have a very wide range across firms. MBB pays the most so on average a Partner at McKinsey will make more than a Partner at B4, IBM, Accenture, etc. However, roughly $400K-$2M is going to cover 80% of the Partner comps across all firms. Now when you get above the $2M threshold, then the % dwindles. I do know of some Partners in the $5-7M range but they’re rainmakers at their firms.
Agree, in 95 percent cases it’s when and not if.
At EY, I'd say fewer than 25% of partners clear $1 million a year. Those that do are rainmakers, in some sort of leadership role, both, or in a practice with really high margins. Nearly all are making more than $500K a year, except perhaps new partners or partners in small markets and practices.
This may be changing with record revenues and inflation, but this generally was true around 2019
EY2 yes starting is between 350-450k. Significantly lower than pwc unfortunately
In the UK PwC partner salary goes from around £450k to £5m (The Senior Partner essentially) which with a 1.4x USD translation is around $650k to $7m.
I am unsure about the amount of the PwC Partner pension in the UK firm but I know that it is very lucrative.
Tim made more than 7 last year
Partners year 1 vs year 20 make very different amounts. You'll get a better comparison if you think about it by years in the partnership. Year 1 at pwc is about $650k currently
Not sure this figure is accurate across all practices. Advisory partners I know have made in the 500 range year 1
What about Advisory Partners in Canada at PWC?
Is income partner vs equity partner specific to PwC Canada?
