How much does working at Google boost your resume? I know that it will get you more interviews for sure but does it result in direct offers?

My coworker has just resign and I’m thinking of talking to my manager to see if instead of them hiring a new employee to increase my salary (my current salary + what this coworker is currently making) and I will take care of all of her responsibilities. I’ve been to a few interviews for other jobs, but I either don’t get a call back or the salary is too low.
Is this a good idea?
My main concern right now is to increase my salary. Have many bills to pay and want to start saving.

Hi guys, I had technical round on last Sunday 5th sept, after that yesterday(7th sept) i got mail regarding AMCAT English+writeX. I gave that test. Now today(8th sept) I got call from there consultant that i got selected and have to submit required documents. I did submitted all the docs. But i had no HR round for salary discussion.. Do they are going to hire me? When did they will release Offer letter if i am selected?

I quit my previous job approximately 5-6 months ago due to toxic culture and being pressured to commit fraud… I fear hiring managers see that I’ve been out of work for this time and may assume I was fired or laid off. Very close to receiving a job offer for a fast growin start-up company related to dental. It is located in SF which unfortunately is not Americas most expensive city to live in (I’d have to move there). Started pricing apartments and will need an offer of about $135k to qualify for housing but anything I find for a salary reference says the company plays about 95k in SF - how do I justify my experience and drive to the company to show my value or is that too big of a wage gap to bridge? I asked for feedback with one of my senior who was actively involved in the project which me and my teammate were doing, and he denied. I just asked him to share a general feedback since my tenure for that project was over and i was moved to another team and he refused. He is 14 Years experienced. How are such people man. So disappointed! When we work together they show how nice they are and once you leave the team they start showing their true colors.
