It depends.
The thing about consulting, love it or hate it, is that most weeks are fairly unpredictable. Some weeks the client will be on holiday, you may on the bench, or the project is very slow in which case you may work 50 hours or even less than 40. Some times you may be staffed on a fast paced DD and putting in 14+ hour days.
I joined last year as an experienced hire BA from industry. I was familiar with 30-45 hours per week. Since joining McKinsey my best week (on a client study) was 40 and my worst was 90. I’m generally around 10-12 hours per day of client work and then I invest another 0-3 hours per day into firm internal initiatives depending on my availability
I usually do check and respond to emails Sunday night as it helps me feel better about Monday, but that’s it. Not counting that in my hours.

It’s within 50-80 usually :)

55-60
50-65, have been leaning closer to 50-55 but I’m productive and don’t go crazy
Case dependent. 50-80 sounds about right. Most people will probably be within 55-65 range with tails on both sides

In my experience, 50-60 catches the majority of weeks across cases (but distribution would peak around 55-60)
What is the frequency of those 80 hour cases? Assuming you are not actively going out of your way to seek out DDs
