Depends on your CCTC

Right, it's definitely based on cctc, but what is the ideal range for 6.5 years ? And what band is usually given ?

It depends more on your previous company than you might think.

If you're from a service based company, you're likely to be given Band 7A. If you're from a product based company, you could be given Band 7B.

The range of a 7B person for the role of Software Developer (DevOps will be similar) varies from ~20 lpa to ~45 lpa with a median of approx ~33 lpa.

7A will be slightly lesser (maybe 15 lpa-28 lpa-35 lpa, can't be sure as I am not 7A). So an accurate figure is not easy to be estimated.

What is the salary range for 8 years of experience? I have recently interviewed with IBM ISL for a Z Devops delivery consultant role.

What should be the ideal range of salary?
