Confirmed - know someone who went on PL after just a few months.

You can also take up to 24 weeks combining the 16 weeks of family leave with PTO or other leave options (like unpaid LOA).
16 weeks after short term disability if you are birthing personally (which is 2-3 weeks depending on type of birth c section or vb) and that cannot kick in until you take a week of PTO. Keep in mind you continue to accrue PTO while out
