Being promoted mid year in the Bay Area to senior and did not get a raise as expected. Trying to see what the current compensation is for seniors within deals.

I currently working as technical author and illustrator in commercial heavy duty vehicle industry. I have good in knowledege in PDM, PLM and illustrating tools like Corel draw. Currently looking for jobs in similar field or in other fields were my skill sets will be useful. Please let me know such opportunities.

Which one should I go for?

1. Oracle - 18.3 LPA fixed + probable bonus (I may or may not get)
2. Amadeus - 18 fixed + 1.5 variable.

Amadeus is also giving joining bonus of 75k. Amadeus is paying more, may give better hikes too, but I am finding it hard to let go off Oracle's brand name on my resume even if it's means around 2L less over an year. I am planning to work for atleast 3 years in my next company.

What would you have done in my place? Should I go for Oracle or Amadeus?

I recently discovered pay band information given to me by the HR generalist I'm working with on hiring was outdated and updated bands had been released over the summer (prior to my hire date). The outdated information had led me to believe a prime candidate was out of range. Aside from incompetence, can anyone think of a reason why HR might have withheld information about the pay bands? I assume mgrs see the full monty when it comes to pay...right?

Say I secured a new position for myself. And say the start date of that position would make my 2 weeks notice stretch back into Christmas break.
