I had final techno manager round which was completed on 30 Mar, and after ugadi holiday, on 6th I have received the positive feedback and confirmation mail and asked to share the payslips and relevant documents. Still waiting for the offer letter. Called HR on 20th April for the updates, she told she is working on my offer and it will release soon. Any ideas on this fishes?Cerner Corporation

Hello! Anyone work at GE Healthcare?
Need some advice. My friend’s company is forcing them to work in the office while wearing a face mask for 9 hours a day. This has caused my friend to get migraines and experience physical pain above their nose, because they can't breathe. My friend needs the job but I’m worried for them. Is there anything they can do in their situation (besides quit)? They’ve already asked if they can work from home but their boss is unwavering and expects everyone to work from the office, even during a pandemic.

Usually every 3-5 months I’m a cranky human without at least an extended weekend. If not sooner. Been on longer stretches before, but if I get less then the job doesn’t feel as worth it
Does this mean neither of you take random days off here and there? Just the planned vacays on the timelines shared?
Whenever I can, I'm pretty much always negative but within the allowable range lol
Every other month for short (2-3days) ones. Twice a year for long (1-2weeks) ones.

I try to take 2-3 2-4 week vacations.
1 week frankly doesn’t feel like enough time away.
The only time i would take a week was when I was at Deloitte and Fourth of July they have 3 days off so essentially you could take 2 days off to get a week - similar to Christmas.
But Accenture is stingy with holidays so that’s over!

Last vacation I took was in 2019. Since then it’s just been 3 or 4 day weekends.
This was me until this summer. Burnout got to me tho
I got quite burned out early in my consulting career after not taking enough vacation so I try to take at least one day every month, usually just a Friday or Monday mental health day so I have something to look forward to. I may not take one if there’s a holiday that month or schedule a trip around it, etc. The flip side is I almost never take long vacations.
I've been vacationing for the entire pandemic while traveling and working.

every day, I live on the beach
I try every three months to take a few vacation days. I may also do a short stay nearby on holiday weekends. I work such long hours most of the year, every so often I need a reset.
I try at least twice a year for an out of state vacay. In addition (or at least as an alternate for one of these trips) I make sure to use up all my PTO for the year even if it means a week long staycation.
Roughly every 2-4 months for something.

4 vacations a year 👍🏼 One in the spring, two in the summer, and one before the holidays.

Every other year. Bonus goes to student loans most of the time, I’ve splurged on an all inclusive twice. Crazy how the years fly by though, I don’t feel like it’s every other year between vacations
Wow I'm sorry. Hope you get some living in, and are able to see the world one of these days.
I try to take a trip once a month for sure for a couple of days. I’m single so you know you want to take advantage while you still can
At my job in industry I took all 28 days plus holidays. Now I take a long one week one, company time off in December, and usually a few long weekends

Usually 3 per year, though two of those are just road trips to see family over the holidays.
I'd love to take 4-5 per year, but it's tough to corral the family and get the logistics worked out for a vacation.
How do you define vacation? If you mean like no devices no kids nothing to do but what we feel like doing … maybe once every 2-3 years. Part of that is because when we vacation we like to really live it up. Other part is because we have lots of small bits of downtime super often.
1 per season. Winter is more domestic short weekends . Spring/ Summer/fall for 1 week long trips
