How soon can you become partner at MBB? I have come across some profiles becoming partner after 4 years at MBB post MBA. How realistic is that? What kind of TC are they getting?

Not sure if this applies to MBB, but at many firms the timeline to partner had drastically increased since a few years due to economic climate.

Yes, I agree here

I once met a senior partner who made it to partner only 2 years out of school. I think he was in the Milan office. I don't think that's possible today. The people who excel the most are probably the ones who had high exposure to business culture in their earlier years through family and friends. They understand the game intuitively.

M1 - Consultants restate. Managers restate the obvious, balance achieved.

Not all partner titles are created equal. Some are partner in name only

yes 4 years is conceivable but rare

like

i mean, partner is kind of like the beginning of level 2

Dong forget not all Partner titles are actually true equity partners (e.g. BCG case in point)

The youngest partners are typically in their late 20s

As opposed to what? Teenagers?

I mean it’s possible, just like it was possible for Kobe and LeBron to go pro straight out of high school

I think it holds up

If ure fast coming from mba its 6 years to equity partner at mck
I came in from industry at em level and took me 5 years

We have 27 year old partners… or at least we did when I left 2 years ago

We want TC numbers please

The fast timelines aren’t common and I wouldn’t bank on it. 7-8 years post MBA for McK. Where are the odds the best for faster path to partner? Still McK

Starting partner comp 600+

600-1M

Can be as early as late 20s early 30s to see that 800+ range (selling)

What are your thoughts on the Scrum Master role? I’ve worked with a few now and out of 5 of them, only 1 seemed to be of any help. Most of the time we have to explain every detail multiple times and they still don’t understand what we’re doing. I feel that the role should be reserved for employees with experience in the systems they work in.
