How to deal with a practice group that consistently rewards slackers and punishes the associates that are actually doing the work? Sick and tired of busting my ass while associates in my class year are paid the same amount to work 3-500+ fewer billable hours per year and are staffed on easy matters with more junior support just because they SUCK.

Frustrating, but you have to ask yourself these questions (1) in the broader picture, are you underpaid or have unimpressive long term prospects; (2) if not, are you willing to move; and (3) should you just work less.
