Ah, that's just disrespectful! Your time off is your time off. I was called in once and I said I'm real sorry but I won't be able to make it. Simple as that

I understand if it was because no one else is available but to be called in because my boss does not trust anyone else to do the job well is legit annoying.

Don't answer the phone lol. On my days off, I let every phone call go to voicemail. If they ask about it I just tell them "oh sorry my iphone focus must have changed when I wasn't aware"

Gonna have to try this next time sigh 😔

You can do what I do and go the passive aggressive route by just ignoring the message or you can say "I have prior plans that I cannot get out of, but I candle deal with this tomorrow *during work hours*"

It usually works for me. I know how it is to have anxiety about setting boundaries. I'm a recovering people pleaser myself, so it took me a while to work up to saying "no." It's the best things you can do, though.

I also want to help nursing reconnect - the nursing workforce just feels so disconnected from education and even further from administration at times.

I’m looking for nurses of all kinds (administrative, bedside, education, Advanced practice, all specialties etc.,) to have a conv
