I am getting a Analyst designation at delloite for a 1.7 years experience of it experience.
Should I try to get the consultant designation as the salary range will also open a bit as they r giving me 9.5. Should I just wait a few more months to get 2 years experience and apply the consultant position.

He shouldn’t be coming in as an analyst with a PHD. Apply to McKinsey...we love vets and PHDs and PhDs all come in at the post-MBA equivalent
No way at Analyst. With a PhD he should expect more. Military exp means nothing as others say...bummer
Great advice above, just say no!
Tell him to renegotiate. He's got a phD. That four years in the army means. Nothing
Unfortunately the military experience only helps for military hiring programs. If he’s in his mid 20s, id say coming in as an analyst wouldn’t be a bad move.
Apply to D federal. They’re hiring a lot in tech
Thank you guys! He's been trying to find a job for almost 6 months, and finally got an offer. It's hard for him to say no emotionally. So he accepted it and wants to take it as a learning opportunity. We'll see where it takes him.
Best wishes to him!
Please advise, he will need to be extremely humble because I know I would expand doctored analyst to have a chip on the shoulder.
👍👍
@McK not saying this is representative of the whole firm, but when I was going through the interview process with McK and asked about how military leave for AT worked, the recruiter said “oh, bring gone for two weeks a year could be big problem”. That turned me off and I withdrew (was after the “practice” case interview).
