I have a gripe about my direct manager, but he's been OK lately to me, but is mean to my coworkers, he has stopped the behavior with me for some time now, but I know he's hard on them. My manager doesn't interact much with us. I consider myself as some one who has worked hard for project and other intiatives. Should I ask my manager to consider me and if yes how should I initiate it.

A quick note about what I’ve experienced, in my decade long career, is the real advantage of MBB or FAANG - it gives you a shot at stretch roles that are outside your expertise. Not all the time or even most of the time compared to better candidates with specific experience for the role but gives you this wildcard shot at a vast array of opportunities.
