I accepted my offer and calculated how much I could save next year. I was pretty excited about the number until I remembered about paying taxes 😩 what money? 😂

And just remember that's what it is today. If the dems/socialists take over we are all fucked. Bernie was in record saying he wanted the highest bracket at 90% last fall.

like

That's what you get when you vote D

like

^ that would never happen. I'm for higher brackets, and I kind of like Bernie, but that proposal is a load of shit. I'm sure it's more of a bargaining chip. Say 90% and then actually only increase that top bracket by 5-10%.

like

I know it would never happen to that extreme but it does scare me that someone with a cult like following would push it and that at least a fair number of people were all for it. That being said, at least he quickly abandoned it once he got more into the spotlight.

If you follow the cryptocurrency market, or even have been just taking an interest lately, with the Bitcoin "halvening," you should check out Pi.

If you haven't heard of Pi, it's a new cryptocurrency (like Bitcoin), developed by a bunch of Stanford PhDs. What makes it really interesting is that you can still mine this coin, using just the processing power of your phone, unlike just about every other coin out there. (Contd)

Mind it that his brother is very well off but for some reason he can't buy crypto himself since he is in India.

Very specific to retail and/or hospitality in-house roles: has anyone found a good solution for predictive scheduling? Our retail division has one set of software for scheduling and one for payroll, and neither of them can handle predictive scheduling compliance issues unless they’re used for both the scheduling and payroll functions. I’m coming up empty on ideas for them to bridge the gap, but I’m also new to my compliance counsel role, so I would be overjoyed if anyone has suggestions.

Hey Fishes I have completed close to 4.5 years in EY under the Tax Operation team specialized in resource management. I am getting only 7.5lpa inspite of getting "Strategic Impact" which is the highest reward category. I was supposed to get a skip level promotion which the HR had rejected for some reason. I feel I am really underpaid and EY is not valuing me as an employee. Based on ur experience can you let me know the actual market rate for my profile?

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
