I am 22, turning 23 in a month. I make $78k/year, which will increase by some amount in October. I have $10k in cash earning 8% interest. $6k in stocks, $10k in 401k, $10k in Roth, and $15k in crypto. I contribute 6% to my 401k since that’s all EY will match up to. What other strategies / investment options do you think I should consider?

Where are you getting 8%?

likefunny

BlockFi, not exactly cash, and not insured, but it’s 8% on stablecoins

HSA if you have high deductible insurance. At your age you may still be in parents insurance and can’t use

like

In addition to the triple tax benefits, you also don’t have to pay FICA taxes if you contribute through your EY payroll deduction. I invest my entire balance and it has grown.

What coin returns 8% with low risk? That sounds 🐠

like

Stablecoins on BlockFi, not insured so yes there is risk

Agree to HSA and forget “crypto” and only invest in Bitcoin. You have a lot of time so imagine if you stack sats now and come back in 10 years you will be a millionaire

Nah everything else will go to 0.

Not sure if this is the right bowl but hoping to get some insight. I have a lot of student debt, and am considering refinancing with First Republic bank to get a (marginally) lower interest rate. However, their version of refinancing student loans has changed in the last couple years so now they offer you a personal line of credit.
