Have you explored teaching your native language? Many schools (private and public, of different levels) have language immersion programs. There may also be opportunities in consulting if it is a high-demand language.
Community college
You're kind of starting from ground 0 huh? Any career advisor, i think, would tell you to start by thinking about what kind of job might be right for you. I think a community or technical college close to where you are would be a great resource (even pre-enrollment), and you should get in touch ASAP to start thinking about how to move forward.
I did. (1) think more specifically about what you want to do and (2) start exploring with a local community/trade/tech college.
That depends on where you are living and what you are interested in. There are tons of good schools out there. Community college is definitely a good idea for the first two yeras.
I agree with trying to teach if at all possible. If I was bilingual I would try to find a teaching or tutoring position.
