EY story :- HR Call me and scheduled my interview for 14LPA. My interview went well and they reject me after L2 round. When I asked hr regarding why they reject me he told me higher CTC expectations. Now HR wants me to join in 10 LPA. But I already have offer from Mindtree for 14 LPA. EY hr knows about it but still they are playing game. I don't know why they waste my time. 🥺

Faang and consulting firms are two entirely different organizations. In consulting you must become a manager to progress with your career.
With FAANG you can stay an individual contributor and still progress with you career. Our managers are 80% focused on people mgmt and 20% biz dev. Things like strategy creation, asset creation, and leading large engagements are all done by other people (usually an IC).
FAANG staff want to be managed by people that have a few years of experience being led by faang managers. We don't want to be led by Deloitte (or any other consulting firm managers). The reason is that faang managers people differently then Deloitte.
To drive the point home. If a team does not like their manager...99% of the time - it's not the manager that survives. If a basketball coach does not get along with. lebron James....who do you think is getting the boot.
If you want to do well in your new company. Take the IC role and then move to the mgr roles 2-3 years later
Thank you for the advice. Very helpful
