Accenture has unlimited military leave. I’m in a command position right now and it’s a God send. Especially because I went over my MUTAs last year and will this year. I go through an LOA advocate who verifies my leave with orders/memos/ or 1380’s. My PTO is never effected or taken away when I take military leave. It’s not like I’m relaxing on vacation
I just want to say too, I’ve tried to send so many good Soldiers to schools, and schools they want to attend. But because of caps like you mentioned they can’t or it has to be pushed off. But if you trust your employees to verify their leave with you. I can guarantee you will see a better return on any reservist you hire
This is very true. My unit has tried to bring me into orders multiple times and I’ve pushed back. Luckily they have been understanding and find others to take my spot.
I turned down an offer with a startup because I realized I’d be so screwed for some upcoming military stuff. Can’t beat differential pay
Deferential and superior military leave keeps me in bigger companies for this reason. I’ll look at smaller companies after I finish my 20.
PwC is full pay up to a month at a time on orders (can be multiple months a year, just not consecutive) and up to 18 months differential between pwc salary and military base pay. bah, flight pay, etc is just a bonus.
Having differential pay for longer term orders like a mobilization is a huge benefit
How about military schools? Those take months sometimes
Most firms have differential pay for when you go on orders. I don’t know what our policy would be.
I honestly don't think any organization that I have seen has gotten anywhere close to what military personnel gets for PTO.
