Are you suggesting you’re going to take care of your preschooler while also working because I promise that will not help you at all! It sounds like you should leave law and pursue something you enjoy. Or work in government, those jobs are full time but not in the same way a private firm is full time, and many government jobs allow you to work remotely. But it also sounds like right now you should consider some time off. Maybe take leave through your current job so you can make the decision to leave or not leave while employed.
Yeah I’m gonna be honest and say if you can’t afford to go part time without pulling your child out of preschool, I don’t think you can go part time (assuming that it means you would be trying to care for your child while working). I also second talking to a doctor to get approval for a leave of absence to get yourself sorted. Sounds like you need some recovery time.
I think the part time thing would work once your youngest is in school so you can work during school hours. But otherwise, it just does not sound feasible to care for a preschooler and work. I can’t really think of any job where that would work, short of you working at the preschool itself.
And as a side note, I’m not sure you’ll make $50-60k part time doing anything but being a lawyer, unless you are also trained in another professional field. That’s an average full time salary for many people, so a part time job making that much would have to be something somewhat high level/professional.
