Hi Fishes, I grabbed an offer at Accenture with 12 LPA fixed for Level 9. I'm not getting a retention offer from my current company at 13.5 lpa. How do I go about a counter offer with Accenture HR? Also tell me how to approach this situation smoothly.
If HR doesn't fulfill the counter offer, is it ok to accept 12 lpa fixed for Level 9 and when will I get a hike here and how much would it be approximately?
Accenture Please provide your insights. This is my first switch so I ne more exposure

Why do you want to move? Assuming you're up for promotion at EY, it's unlikely that RSM will ever beat EY significantly on salary. Intangibles probably a bigger deal here (benefits, work life balance, etc...).
1) I would stay at EY over RSM. 2) I would say I needed $120 to move.
Ask for a 20% raise, plus try to do more of a wotk life balance.. 3 days in the office 2 at home.
Don't move!
I'm currently in a specialty tax area that provides little exit opportunities. I'd rather work for a company for my entire career because I want to and not because I have to.
I wouldn't move for less than 20% raise, considering you can get at least 10% in October anyway...
I'm in tax and have a JD/LLM.
If you move to RSM will you be in the core tax services or will you stay in the specialty?
If I move to RSM I'll be in a federal tax service line that has a broad focus.
Assuming you are the same poster from the other thread looking at a national tax job in DC, I would push for $140k. That said, I think you'd be better off transitioning into one of the many jobs at EY suitable for your background (TT, ITS, or one of our National Tax groups).
It would be easier to boomerang if I wanted to than to transfer even laterally which I've been trying since February. I'm not one to skip around jobs and make strategic career moves so I'm putting a lot of thought into it.
Having been in big 4 and in boutique firms, you want to work at a firm that has a very strong reputation. Big 4 has it. RSM does not. Do you have highly regarded tax consulting boutiques that are an option?
Question is how much does it cost to buy you?
