I am considering giving the CMA exam. I am a recent graduate in Quantitative Finance with ~ 1 year experience in finance. My target roles are Financial Analyst, Investment Analyst, Portfolio Analyst, Deals Advisory (M&A) Analyst. How relevant will it be to do this certification. Any thoughts or guidance? I want to break into the Finance Industry.

Do you think culinary school is worth it? I've been a waiter for a year but really want to be a chef. The people I work with say to just start in the kitchen and work my way up but I think culinary school might get me where I want to be faster. The cost is pretty insane though. Any advice?

Working on some law firm applications tonight and it sucks that I know that I am so capable and have a strong work ethic but firms can’t see beyond grades or the fact that I didn’t go to a t14 law school or prestigious undergrad. I’ve worked twice as hard and feel like I’ve barely even gotten half as much. I am a developer with 4.7 yrs in IT & have worked as .Net & presently as Salesforce Developer in my career, my ctc is 9.5LPA.
How can i shape my career hierarchy to reach at good level with yoe i have. I see my juniors with just 2yoe earning more than my ctc.
