I am currently in a model development role, specifically ML for fraud detection (25yo, 4yoe). I have the opportunity to swap over to model risk management / model governance, but I know the work will be less technical. I love what I do right now, but the opportunity to work on the other side of model development (+ pay bump / remote) seems like a great try. Would I be boxing myself out of the more technical work by making the swap? I’d like to come back to the more technical eventually.

So far there has been an online assessment, round 1of interview with assistant manager, round 2 of interview with the Manager.

I have been faking and slacking for last 2 years. I am not being pushed and challenged at work. Nobody bothers to follow-up on my work. I take my sweet time to do the bare minimum. How do you deal with an HR that ghosts you after 3 interviews that went really well? I landed an offer at Deloitte as a sr. consultant, and then negotiated for a managerial role. I was told all interviewers were really happy with me so she would be glad to arrange a reevaluation for the new role(I was interviewed by 2 Sr. Managers & an MD for Sr. Consultant role and will have to take another round with a partner for the managerial position). This is for a guidewire role.
